Work with us

Veterinary Surgeon | Nelson, New Zealand

Want to work somewhere that still feels like a veterinary practice, not a corporation?

We’re Nelson Vets, proudly independent, locally owned, and run by vets who actually work in the practice.

We care a lot about good medicine, but just as much about the sort of people we work alongside.

Our values are:

Be a Good Human.
Be in the Waka.
Better Never Stops.

If that sounds like your kind of workplace, we’d like to meet you.

We’re looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our team in Nelson. You’ll have a four-day working week, a great mix of cases, excellent facilities and supportive colleagues. We pay an hourly wage with on-call in addition.

Got an area of veterinary medicine you love? Even better. We actively support our vets to develop their special interests and bring new skills into the practice. We’d be particularly keen to hear from someone with an interest in dentistry, although the right person and team fit matter most.

We have plenty of information about us online, so have a look around our website first. You can meet our team, see our clinics, watch some of the videos we’ve made and get a pretty good feel for who we are and how we work.

If you like what you see, we’d love to hear from you.
