Our History

Our clinic has a 30-year history of providing veterinary care for the region. We felt that turning 30 was the perfect time for a refreshed new look, and one that reflects how the business has grown and evolved over the years. Originally, the Vanguard Street building was the Toi Toi community hall, we still have clients who talk of coming to dances on a Friday night! (We bet these floors have a few tales to tell….)
Christine and Nigel Hands were the pioneers to open Victory Square Pet Hospital in 1992 and it later became Victory Square Veterinary Clinic under the reign of Martin & Linda Collins and then Jonathan Robinson joined. We owe a lot to these vets who dedicated a lot to their clients and pets in their care and to this clinic to get it to where it is today.
Continuing the history of being family owned and operated Brendan & Jacqui Hickman became the new owners in 2015. Adam and Rachel Stanyer joined the Victory Vets family as owners in 2018.

Here we are today, still locally owned and operated, continuing to develop and be on the cutting edge of veterinary care whilst at the heart of it, aiming to be there for when you need us and help your pet live its best life.
