Meet Rachel, our dedicated exotics vet with a passion for wildlife health. Rachel holds a Masters in Wildlife Health from London Zoo and is certified in Avian Wildlife Health from Otago Polytech. With her extensive training and experience, she specialises in providing exceptional care for a diverse range of exotic animals, including frogs, lizards, and birds, alongside more traditional pets like rabbits, rats, and guinea pigs.

Rachel's expertise extends beyond the ordinary, making her sought after for referrals from other clinics. Whether it's a delicate lizard or a beloved guinea pig, Rachel ensures that every patient receives the highest level of attention and care.

You can find Rachel operating part-time at our Victory clinic, where she warmly welcomes new clients seeking her expertise. Additionally, our team includes trained exotics nurses who work alongside Rachel to provide comprehensive care for your pets.

Avian Patients (Pet Birds)

Pocket Pets (Guinea Pigs, Rats, Chinchillas, Mice)

  • Management of complex respiratory conditions
  • Surgeries including spaying and neutering
  • Specialised inpatient care for sick pocket pets, with services such as nebulisation and incubation

Reptiles (Turtles, Tortoises, Lizards)

  • Routine check-ups and nail trims
  • Diagnostic workups including blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, urine, and feacal samples
  • Evaluation and treatment of reproductive diseases and metabolic bone diseases
  • Surgeries such as spaying (for lizards only)
